On December 10, the Parish Council will elect its Committee Members for 2003 - 2004. The function of the Parish Council is to assist the Pastoral Team (priests and sisters) in tending to the pastoral needs of the congregation. As the bishop's pastoral representative to parishioners, the pastor is naturally accountable for all matters relating to the parish.<br/><br/>

Although we fulfill different roles and responsibilities within the parish, we share in the same Holy Spirit. Therefore, God grants each of us different charisms, so that we might benefit from each other's talents.<br/><br/>

In addition to attending to the spiritual and material needs of parishioners, the greater objective of the Parish Council is to proclaim and evangelize the Gospel.<br/><br/>

I want to encourage the Council members to not be afraid, because the Church's ultimate shepherd is Jesus himself. Indeed, we are merely His "Useless Servants"!
