Recently, several parishioners with interest and experience in the media wish to introduce Catholic programming into Toronto's Chinese cable TV broadcast. These programs contain religious shows produced by the Hong Kong Diocesan Audio-visual Centre as well as news from the four Chinese Catholic parishes of the Greater Toronto Area.<br/><br/>

In principles, I think it is more than reasonable to utilize mass media effectively as a tool for evangelization. Surely the four Chinese parishes should have reached a consensus and obtained permission from the Archdiocese of Toronto for the plan to go ahead.<br/><br/>

I believe everyone is concerned about financial problems. If the plan is adopted, the four parishes will no doubt establish a Board of Directors to work on these issues. At present, I encourage all of you to pray for the success of this project.<br/><br/>
