A few years ago, a youth from our parish participated in a CCIDD camp organized in Mexico and found the experience very rewarding, thus he suggested that the Young People Pastoral Team forms a group to participate in that camp. Thanks to the effort of the parishioner, this dream has finally come true.

CCIDD stands for Cuernavaca Center for Intercultural Dialogue on Development. Cuernavaca is a city about half an hour drive from Mexico City, with a population of 1 million. Since it is 1500 m above sea level, the local climate is quite chilly.

The CCIDD was founded by a bishop and current run under joint Catholic and Protestant supervision. The goals of CCIDD are three-fold:

(1) Experiencing the reality of life in Mexico. (2) Observing how community and faith based groups respond to this reality through a liberating commitment. (3) Analyzing the overall Latin America/Global reality and our responsibility within it.

Due to Fr. Joseph Fu's timely assistance in parish duties, I am able to go to Mexico with 20 youths to take part in this year's CCIDD camp from June 15 to 26. Please keep us in your prayers.

Another good news: Bishop Richard Grecco has agreed to celebrate the Parish Feast day Thanksgiving Mass on Saturday, July 5 at 6 pm.
