Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40) A man’s body, although one day has to return to dirt, due to the resurrection of our Lord, his soul has to return to Our Father, because every one of us is made according to the Holy Trinity. The basis of life is “love”. One can achieve “silence” if and only if there is “love”. However, this “silence” does not come from externally. It comes from our relationship with God. Jesus as a human being on earth was not always being welcomed by others. He was always “meek and humble of heart”, because He maintained a close relationship with Our Father. For example, the time before He chose his apostles and before He was crucified, He would stay away from the crowd and talked to Our Father by Himself. If we are able to maintain a close relationship with God, we will naturally develop a close relationship with our neighbours, since our heart belongs to God himself. If we are used to unconditionally care and look for the presence of God in our neighbours, our relationship with God will also be strengthened.
