“Home visit” is not my strength, but I enjoy it. When I was in my first year working in Toronto, I have visited 200 families. Due to many additional duties afterwards, I had to discontinue the regular schedule of home visits.

Here in Annunciation Church, I have also begun to visit homes. Once I met a youth during a home visit and he said that in the past he used to attend daily Mass (at 6:45am), but afterwards he kind of stopped going. The next day, I saw him attend morning Mass. I immediately sent him an email as an encouragement. He replied and said, “I plan to attend weekday Mass once a week.”

Many people had asked me about my expectation in the parish and most may already know my answer: “Let us accept whatever circumstances that may come", because the Holy Spirit is the one working behind the scene.

At this moment, there are already 8 brothers and sisters joining the “bread and water” activity every Wednesday and Friday.

Beginning in November, we shall pray the “Divine Mercy Chaplet” after morning Mass.

In preparation for next year, we will hold spiritual retreats on the 5th Friday and Saturday of the month.

These are just a few thoughts. In your prayers, please ask the Holy Spirit for guidance.

(P.S. For those young people from CMCC who have now come back to work in Hong Kong, please contact me as soon as you can or, everyone please inform them for me. At the moment, I’ve just met Benedict and Winnie Yang who is now working in Yunnan, China.)
