“They will kill you because they have not known either the Father or me.” (John16:3) Jesus quoted the word written in the book of law: “They hated me without cause.” Matthew and Luke also pointed out: “Pilate knew that it was out of envy that the chief priests had handed him over.” Jesus said, “No disciple is above his teacher.” If the teacher is being treated unreasonably, the disciples will have no exemption as well. The Gospel of John also mentioned: “When everyone who kills you will think he is offering worship to God.” Acts of Apostles recorded, “Before Paul’s conversion, he asked the high priest for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, that, if he should find any men or women who belonged to the Way, he might bring them back to Jerusalem in chains.” Jesus personally called Paul, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" After this incident, Paul became an entirely different person. “He stayed some days with the disciples in Damascus, and he began at once to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.” May the call of Jesus also echo in our hearts.
