"You are not far from the kingdom of God." (Mark 12: 34) This is the reply Jesus had said to the Scribe, when the scribe exclaimed: "Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, 'He is One and there is no other than he.' And 'to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourselves is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." In the footnotes of the Studium Biblicum,"This compliment referred to the Scribe who still did not recognize Jesus as the Messiah, but what he said was still reasonable. If this could continue, it is said to be "not far from the kingdom of God". Other than the basics of loving God and loving others, knowing Jesus as the Messiah is the most important. Why? Because only in Jesus, humans can feel the unconditional love God has for us. In the first book of John, "We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen." Alot of people think that every religion teaches their followers to be good. Even though each religion is different, it has a common goal. This concept is incorrect, because the salvation of humankind comes only from God's son, Jesus’ offering on the cross. The sacrifice on the cross, together with us is actually doing God's will, which creates the perfect salvation.
