“Go and do likewise!” (Luke 10:37) “Go and do likewise” refers to practicing love and kindness with the utmost effort. Jesus clearly said that the Gospel messages are not the result of scientific research, but rather set a good example in our acts daily. “Who is my neighbor?” The main issue of this question was based on theory only. However, Jesus skillfully used the charitable Samaritan as a metaphor, to bring out that “The one who treated people with mercy” is the neighbor to others. Actions are always far more practical than theoretical. In the institution of the Holy Eucharist, Jesus said in a near imperative manner, “Do this in memory of me.” (Luke 22:19) He knows that people do not truly understand the meaning of the “Sacrament of Eucharist”. The same goes for the truth of “The Holy Trinity” as it is unfathomable to understand for they are the same “mystery of faith”. However, when we practice kindness, we will naturally feel at peace and joy with the presence of Jesus. This is also the “mystery of faith”. Jesus does not require us to pursue intellectual satisfaction, for human wisdom always has it’s limits but the Holy Spirit is the best gift that Jesus left to us. “When they lead you away and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say. But say whatever will be given to you at that hour. For it will not be you who are speaking but the Holy Spirit.” (Mark 13:11) “Go and do likewise!” The Holy Spirit continues to sanctify this world for we are only His instruments!
