“Should he come in the second or third watch and find them prepared in this way, blessed are those servants.” (Luke 12: 38) Most of the Jewish wedding take place at night, as the groom has to walk to the bride’s house, the date cannot be absolutely determined, but it also depends on the weather. “The ten virgins” is the good example: “The kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones, when taking their lamps, brought no oil with them, but the wise brought flasks of oil with their lamps. Since the bridegroom was long delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight, there was a cry, 'Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!' Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise ones replied, 'No, for there may not be enough for us and you. Go instead to the merchants and buy some for yourselves.' While they went off to buy it, the bridegroom came and those who were ready went into the wedding feast with him. Then the door was locked. Afterwards the other virgins came and said, 'Lord, Lord, open the door for us!' But he said in reply, 'Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.' Therefore, stay awake, 5 for you know neither the day nor the hour.” (Matthew 25:1-13) ““We got used to hearing the words “'Lord, Lord!”, because many time, Jesus reminded us to use these words “'Lord, Lord!” live practically. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, 10 but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name? 'Then I will declare to them solemnly, 'I never knew you. 11 Depart from me, you evildoers.'” (Matthew 7:21-23) Jesus is glad to see us, not only in sincere prayer, but also with the efforts to do the will of the Father.
