“Jesus said to her, "Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come."” (John 2:4) According to a Jewish saying, “Woman” is a respectful form of address. When Jesus was on the cross, he also used the same title, “Woman, behold, your son.” (John 19:26) According to the notation of Studium Biblicum: "Holy Mother is not only the biological mother of Jesus as she also occupies a special position in the work of salvation. Therefore, when the author wrote about the missionary life of Jesus, he includes the Holy Mother’s participation as a way to begin and end the gospel." (p.1643) Genesis is known as the original gospel and the prophecy about this “woman” was mentioned in verse fifteen of chapter three, “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will strike at your head, while you strike at his heel.” “How does your concern affect me?” The Studium Biblicum has the following comment on this statement, as Jesus said “on this matter, I could not care about the relationship of humans and relatives but I have to act according to my Father’s will.”” “They have no wine.” (It shows pure motherly love!) “Do whatever he tells you.” (A mother knows her son the best) “Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.” (The joy and blessing brought by Jesus in the New Testament far exceeds that in the Old Testament.) Today, people dedicate their families to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to allow Holy Mother to look after our families and let the blessing of Jesus come into our homes.
