“I am not alone, because the Father is with me.” (John 16:32) Jesus compares himself as the vine, while the Father is the vine grower, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower.” (John 15:1) No wonder Jesus was involved and suffered from human evil because we are not a healthy growing vine: “He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit!” (John 15:2) We do closely related to Jesus, because “I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him.” (John 15:5) As Jesus said, ““I am not alone, because the Father is with me.” Likewise, we are not alone, as Jesus is with us and can even bear much fruit: “Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit!” (John 15:5) The Purpose of Jesus’ Incarnation is to let us live together with God our creator during our lifetime: “If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” (John 15:10-11) “The perfection of joy” is equal to that in the kingdom of heaven. For this reason, Jesus demands us to train ourselves diligently: “So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.” We can say that that the Heavenly Father gives us little suffering which stimulates encouragement, “He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.” That is the reason why “A perfect Jade needs carving and polishing.” Thank you Lord Jesus who is willing to become one with us, otherwise we won’t be a part in Him.
