To spread the Good News, Jesus first sent his disciples in pairs to designated places. The main message they proclaimed was: Repent, as the Kingdom of God is near. Jesus hoped to bring to mankind the civilization of the Kingdom of God, that is, the civilization of the mutual love of the Trinity. Mutual love can only be witnessed by two or more people. Before his second missionary journey, St. Paul and partner Barnabas had a dispute and separated (See Acts 15:36-41.) However, they had merely a difference in opinion on the selection of people, not a lack of charity. Similarly for us, we need not necessarily be in total agreement with one another, but we must not lack charity. What Jesus emphasized was this virtue of charity. "Ubi Caritas, ibi Deus est" (Wherever there is charity, there is God) is a beautiful hymn in Latin. It lets us understand that we can find God not only in the Eucharist, the scriptures, the teachings of the Church, but also among people and in every corner of the world.
