What is eternity? Eternity is the never-ending existence of the present. Each of our lives spans a finite time and space; each has a past, a present and a future. Nevertheless, even as we contemplate these words, the past already ceases to exist, while the future, no matter how close it is to being at hand, is never quite yet within our grasp.

To be ever prepared means to be fully engaged in living one’s own life. Learn to temporarily cast aside yesterdays’ joys and sorrows so as to dedicate yourselves to today’s people and priorities! Steer clear of distractions, if for no other reason than common courtesy to pay acquaintances the attention they are due.

A mother once remarked, “I perform common house chores as diligently as I can so that my family might experience the beauty of my love for them through my efforts.” Living is an art; it is also a threshold across which we begin to experience God’s everlasting love. Start living life this very moment!
