It is this message from the Gospel which inspired Mother Teresa of Calutta, and changed her life. Although she had lived in India for a long period of time, her service was mostly done for rich people. The meaning of “The least brothers” motivated her to live among the poorest of the poor. However, when she gave talks in large cities all over the world, she indicated that the “poor” of this modern world were those rich people who loved money more than their lives, because they had forgotten God. On the other hand, these “least brothers” can be our closest ones. Hence, while we are enjoying our volunteer works, do not forget the expectations from our families. In essence, any neighbor around us is our “least brothers”.
