An Eastern Orthodox theologist once noted: "I cannot understand my inner self, nor can I see God. However, when I am taking care of other people, I find both my soul and God." Our lives are like the fuse in a light bulb; when we love our neighbours, we naturally become radiant. God's kingdom on Earth signifies the presence of Christ. Christ's presence, however, requires our cooperation. He promised us that when we gather in His name, and when we love one another, He is with us [Matthew 18:20]. "Seizing opportunities", not only is the door to success, but also a criteria for developing good virtues. If Peter had not "immediately left the boat" [Matthew 4:22] and followed Jesus, history would have to be rewritten. Let us believe that all happenings around us have been lovingly arranged by God. If we treasure the opportunities to love, we shall enjoy the peace and joy of Heaven.
