When Jesus appeared to St. Faustina in a vision, two large rays of light emanated from His sacred heart, one white, one red, symbolizing the Blood and Water that flowed from His side. Out of His love for us, Jesus gave up His life without reservation. “Love one another as I have loved you.” This indicates that our love for our neighbors should also be unconditional, with no purpose. When we have trouble treating our neighbors with loving and merciful hearts, it may be due to our own lack of trust and love for God. How can we increase our trust in God? Continue to pray! Try to spare one night per week to celebrate the Holy Hour at our parish, so that Jesus, in the Eucharist, can grant us the faith and enthusiasm we need to bear witness to His mercy.
