After the ascension of Jesus, the Holy Spirit continued His work of sanctifying the world.

In the form of a tongue of fire, the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles. Fire represents Light and Warmth.

Light is the symbol of truth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life”. When we live in the spirit of the Gospel, we are living with Christ, and we live in truth.

Warmth is the symbol of love. Jesus said, “Learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart”. When we lay down our differences and put other people’s needs before our own, we will naturally have peace within our hearts.

The voice of the Holy Spirit is gentle - He calls from the bottom of our hearts. If we can open our hearts to listen and learn, He will sure to help us understand the message of the Gospel.
