"I am the good shepherd, I know my sheep and my sheep know me." (John 10:14) After Jesus' resurrection, he appeared to two disciples on the road to Emmaus. He then appeared again for Thomas, to affirm his faith. Jesus' sheeps are mostly weak and lacking in faith. However, because of their deep relationship with Jesus, when Jesus appears, all doubts are cast aside. Not long after Jesus' resurrection, Peter, John and several other disciples were fishing in the Sea of Galilee. The whole night they did not catch any fish. The next morning, Jesus appeared at the shore, but the disciples did not recognize him. Jesus told them to cast the net on the left side of the boat - and then the net was full. Even then, only John recognized Jesus, because he knew Jesus so intimately. It takes years to establish a relationship with Jesus. However we are certain that Jesus will not abandon us. As long as we pray with our hearts, he will hear our voice and we will be able to identify his voice.
