My Story I grew up in a family believing in the “Tiende Religion”. But I was more familiar with the knowledge about Jesus Christ since I studied in a Christian Primary school. In fact, I have accepted my teacher’s request and had enrolled for the sacrament of Baptism. God’s arrangement is very amazing. One afternoon, I went to St. Teresa Hospital to visit my mother who was sick, I met Father Orlando. He looked at me in a friendly manner and invited me to join the Catechism Class. I was overwhelmed with joy at the moment because I had been waiting for that opportunity for three years.

Long story short, my mother and I were baptized at St. Teresa Church when I was eleven. My father passed away when I was five.

Later, I joined the Altar Server Group. By the way, Fr. Hong Kin Cheong and Fr. Cheng San Loi are my senior religious brothers.

I had been acting in a way that didn’t seem to match my character as for three consecutive years, I went to altar serve every morning, rain or shine, and then walked all the way to La Salle College at Perth Street to have my class.

It was probably due to my “adorable persistence", God has granted me the gift of priestly vocation.

I was ordained as a priest in 1972. At that time, I had the pleasure to have invited Father Orlando at his golden age to attend my first Mass celebration at St. Teresa Church.

To have my fingers counted, I have already come through my priesthood for 37 years. Some of the time, I wouldn’t say that was wasted, but I’m sure that wasn’t wisely utilized either. As of today, I would not look back for what has already passed, but to put my effort to live well at the present moment. The past, I could only offer to the mercy of God.

It is my wish to share this with you all.
