Jesus said to Mary Magdalene, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” (John 20:15) Mary Magdalene was one of the first women to follow Jesus in His missionary journeys. From the fact that Jesus had exorcized seven devils from her body, as we can see what kind of person she used to be before following Jesus. However, God’s grace is always greater than the sins of people. It was also probably because of this that she never gave up following Christ till the day she stood by to the cross and then assisted in burying Jesus. “Love” is so amazing. As recorded by the Gospel of John, when Mary Magdalene saw the stone removed from the tomb, she immediately ran and went to Simon Peter and John, and told them, “They have taken the Lord from the tomb.” After the two disciples saw what had happened, they returned home, but Mary Magdalene remained outside the tomb and cried. When she bended over & peeked into the tomb, she saw two angels sitting there. As she turned around, Jesus appeared to her, and said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” It means: I have risen, there is no need to cry any more: the Jesus that you are looking for is now living in your heart and amongst your community.
