"So you also are now in anguish. But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you." (John 16:22) The source of happiness lies on the presence of the resurrected Lord among us, and also that we are obedient to God's Wills: "You should first look for heaven, and everything will be provided...you should not worry about tomorrow, as tomorrow has its own challenges." Jesus also encouraged us by saying: "For those with difficult times and carrying heavy burdens, you can come to me and I will give you peace. You can carry my yoke and learn from Me! I am kind and modest: this way you will find your peace, because my yoke is soft and my burden is light.(Matt 11:28-30) The joy that Jesus brought us,did not based upon standing aloof from the world, but reacts positively to our daily challenges. "Carry my yoke" means: under any circumstances, we are sharing Jesus' Holy Cross. So, what did it meant when Jesus said: "My yoke is soft and my burden is light"? It implied that God has given us enough grace and strength to carry our own cross. The joy of living in God's Will is everlasting.
