“When Jesus left, the scribes and Pharisees began to act with hostility toward him and to interrogate him about many things, for they were plotting to catch him at something he might say.” (Luke 11:53-54) For those that have an open heart, view the matter with an entirely different story. Please listen to the dialogue of one born blind and the Pharisees: The Blind: "He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and now I can see." Pharisees: "This man is not from God, because he does not keep the sabbath." Others: "How can a sinful man do such signs?" Pharisees: "What do you have to say about him, since he opened your eyes?" The Blind: "He is a prophet." Pharisees: “Give God the praise! We know that this man is a sinner." The Blind: "If he is a sinner, I do not know. One thing I do know is that I was blind and now I see." Pharisees: "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?" The Blind: "I told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples, too?" Pharisees: "You are that man's disciple; we are disciples of Moses! We know that God spoke to Moses, but we do not know where this one is from." The Blind: "This is what is so amazing, that you do not know where he is from, yet he opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if one is devout and does his will, he listens to him. It is unheard of that anyone ever opened the eyes of a person born blind. If this man were not from God, he would not be able to do anything." (c.f. to John 9:13-33) When we have an open mind or a close mind, viewing the problem will be very different.
