恭讀聖馬爾谷福音　8:34-9:1

那時候，耶穌召集群眾和門徒來，對他們說：「誰若願意跟隨我，該棄絕自己，背著自己的十字架，跟隨我，因為誰若願意救自己的性命，必要喪失性命；但誰若為我和福音的緣故，喪失自己性命，必要救得性命。人縱然賺得了全世界而賠上自己的靈魂，為他有什麼益處？人還能拿什麼作為自己靈魂的代價？誰若在這淫亂和罪惡的世代中，以我和我的話為恥，將來人子在他父的光榮中，同諸聖天使降來時，也要以他為恥。」
耶穌又對他們說：「我實在告訴你們：站在這裏的人中，就有幾個在未嘗到死味以前，必要看見天主的國帶著威能降來。」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark 8:34-9:1

Jesus summoned the crowd with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and that of the Gospel will save it. What profit is there for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? What could one give in exchange for his life? Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this faithless and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
He also said to them, “Amen, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see that the Kingdom of God has come in power.”

恭讀聖馬爾谷福音　8:27-33

那時候，耶穌和他的門徒起身，往斐理伯的凱撒勒雅附近的村莊去；在路上問自已的門徒說：「人們說我是誰？」他們回答說：「是洗者若翰；也有些人說是厄里亞；還有些人說是先知中的一位。」耶穌又問他們說：「你們說我是誰呢？」伯多祿回答說：「你是默西亞。」耶穌就嚴禁他們，不要向任何人談及他。
耶穌便開始教訓他們：人子必須受許多苦，被長老、司祭長和經師棄絕，且要被殺害；但三天以後必要復活。耶穌明明說了這話。伯多祿便拉他到一邊，開始諫責他。耶穌卻轉過身來，注視著自己的門徒，責斥伯多祿說：「撒殫，退到我後面去！因為你所體會的，不是天主的事，而是人的事。」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark 8:27-33

Jesus and his disciples set out for the villages of Caesarea Philippi. Along the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” They said in reply, “John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others one of the prophets.” And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter said to him in reply, “You are the Christ.” Then he warned them not to tell anyone about him.
He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and rise after three days. He spoke this openly. Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. At this he turned around and, looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.”

那時候，耶穌和他的門徒來到貝特賽達，有人給耶穌送來一個瞎子，求他撫摸他。耶穌便拉著瞎子的手，領他到村外，在他的眼上吐了唾沫，然後又給他覆手，問他說：「你看見什麼沒有？」他舉目一望，說：「我看見人，見他們好像樹木在行走。」然後，耶穌又按手在他的眼上，他定睛一看，就復了原，竟能清清楚楚看見一切。耶穌打發他回家去說：「連這村莊你也不要進去。」

When Jesus and his disciples arrived at Bethsaida, people brought to him a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. Putting spittle on his eyes he laid his hands on the man and asked, “Do you see anything?” Looking up the man replied, “I see people looking like trees and walking.” Then he laid hands on the man’s eyes a second time and he saw clearly; his sight was restored and he could see everything distinctly. Then he sent him home and said, “Do not even go into the village.”

恭讀聖馬爾谷福音　8:14-21

那時候，門徒忘了帶餅，在船上除了一個餅外，隨身沒有帶別的食物。耶穌囑咐他們說：「你們應當謹慎，提防法利塞人的酵母和黑落德的酵母。」他們彼此議論：他們沒有餅了。耶穌看出來了，就對他們說：「為什麼你們議論沒有餅了？你們還不明白，還不瞭解嗎？你們的心仍然遲鈍嗎？你們有眼看不見，有耳聽不見嗎？你們不記得：當我曾擘開五個餅給五千人的時候，你們收滿了幾筐碎塊？」他們回答說：「十二筐。」「還有，七個餅給四千人的時候，你們收滿了幾籃碎塊？」他們回答說：「七籃。」於是耶穌對他們說：「你們還不瞭解嗎？」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark 8:14-21

The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, and they had only one loaf with them in the boat. Jesus enjoined them, “Watch out, guard against the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” They concluded among themselves that it was because they had no bread. When he became aware of this he said to them, “Why do you conclude that it is because you have no bread? Do you not yet understand or comprehend? Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes and not see, ears and not hear? And do you not remember, when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many wicker baskets full of fragments you picked up?” They answered him, “Twelve.” “When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many full baskets of fragments did you pick up?” They answered him, “Seven.” He said to them, “Do you still not understand?”

恭讀聖若望福音　14:1-6

那時候，耶穌對門徒說：「你們心裡不要煩亂；你們要信賴天主，也要信賴我。在我父的家裡，有許多住處。我去，原是為給你們預備地方；如不然，我早就告訴了你們。我去了，為你們預備了地方以後，我必再來接你們到我那裡去，為的是我在那裡，你們也在那裡。我去的地方，你們知道往那裡去的路。」
多默說：「主！我們不知道你往那裡去，怎麼會知道那條路呢？」
耶穌回答說：「我是道路、真理、生命，除非經過我，誰也不能到父那裡去。」

那時候，法利塞人出來，開始和耶穌辯論，向他要求一個來自天上的徵兆，想試探他。耶穌從心裏嘆息說：「為什麼這一世代要求徵兆？我實在告訴你們，必不給這世代一個徵兆！」他就離開他們，再上船往對岸去了。

恭讀聖瑪竇福音　5:17-37

那時候，耶穌對門徒說：
「你們不要以為我來是廢除法律或先知，我來不是為廢除，而是為成全。我實實在在告訴你們：即使天地過去了，一撇或一畫，也決不會從法律上過去，且必要全部完成。
「所以，誰若廢除這些誡命中最小的一條，也這樣教訓人，在天國裡，他將稱為最小的；但誰若遵守了誡命，也這樣教訓人，這人在天國裡，將稱為大的。
「我告訴你們：除非你們的義德，超過經師和法利塞人的義德，你們決不能進入天國。
「你們一向聽過對古人說：『不可殺人！』誰若殺了人，應受裁判。我卻對你們說：凡向自己弟兄發怒的，就要受裁判；誰若向自己的弟兄說「傻子」，就要受議會的裁判；誰說「瘋子」，就要受火獄的罰。
「所以，若你獻禮時，在祭壇前，想起你的弟兄有什麼埋怨你的事，你就該把你的禮物留在祭壇前，先去與你的弟兄和好，然後再來獻你的禮物。當你和你的對頭還在路上，趕快與他和解，免得對頭把你交給判官，判官交給差役，把你關在監獄裡。我實在告訴你：除非你還清最後一文錢，決不能從那裡出來。
「你們一向聽說過：『不可姦淫！』我卻對你們說：凡注視婦女，有意貪戀她的，這人已在心裡姦淫了她。
「若是你的右眼使你跌倒，把它挖出來，扔掉，因為你喪失一個肢體，比你全身投入地獄，為你更好；若你的右手使你跌倒，砍下它，扔掉，因為你喪失一個肢體，比你全身投入地獄，為你更好。
「你們又聽說過：『誰若休妻，就該給她休書。』我卻給你們說：除了姘居外，凡休妻的，便是叫她受姦污；並且誰若娶被休的婦人，就是犯姦淫。
「你們又一向聽過對古人說：『不可發虛誓！要向上主償還你的誓願！』我卻對你們說：你們總不可發誓：不可指天，因為天，是天主的寶座；不可指地，因為地，是他的腳凳；不可指耶路撒冷，因為她是大王的城市；也不可指你的頭發誓，因為你不能使一根頭髮變白，或變黑。
「你們應這樣：是就說是，非就說非；其他多餘的，便是出於邪惡。」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 5:17-37

Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven. I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
“You have heard that it was said to your ancestors, You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment. But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raqa,’ will be answerable to the Sanhedrin; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be liable to fiery Gehenna. Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court. Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison. Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.
“You have heard that it was said, You shall not commit adultery. But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one of your members than to have your whole body thrown into Gehenna. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one of your members than to have your whole body go into Gehenna.
“It was also said, Whoever divorces his wife must give her a bill of divorce. But I say to you, whoever divorces his wife – unless the marriage is unlawful – causes her to commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
“Again you have heard that it was said to your ancestors, Do not take a false oath, but make good to the Lord all that you vow. But I say to you, do not swear at all; not by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is his footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Do not swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black. Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’ Anything more is from the evil one.”
