恭讀聖路加福音 13:22-30
那時候，耶穌經過城市和鄉村，隨處施教，朝著耶路撒冷走去。有一個人問他說：「主！得救的人果然不多嗎？」耶穌對眾人說：「你們竭力由窄門而入吧！因為將有許多人，我告訴你們：想要進去，而不得進入。及至家主起來把門關上，你們在外面站著，開始敲門說：主！請給我們開門吧！他要回答你們說：我不認識你們是從那裏來的。那時，你們會說：我們曾在你面前吃過喝過；你也曾在我們的街市上教導過人。他要說：我告訴你：我不認識你們是從那裏來的；你們這些作惡的人，離開我去吧！幾時你們看見亞巴郎、依撒格、雅各伯及眾先知在天主的國裏，你們卻被拋棄在外，那裏要有哀號和切齒。將有從東到西，從北到南而來的人，在天主的國裏坐席。看吧！有最後的將成為最先的，也有最先的將成為最後的。」

Jesus passed through towns and villages, teaching as he went and making his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, “Lord, will only a few people be saved?” He answered them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough. After the master of the house has arisen and locked the door, then will you stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ He will say to you in reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’ And you will say, ‘We ate and drank in your company and you taught in our streets.’ Then he will say to you, ‘I do not know where you are from. Depart from me, all you evildoers!’ And there will be wailing and grinding of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God and you yourselves cast out. And people will come from the east and the west and from the north and the south and will recline at table in the Kingdom of God. For behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”

Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it? It is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in the garden. When it was fully grown, it became a large bush and the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches.”
Again he said, “To what shall I compare the Kingdom of God? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch of dough was leavened.”

恭讀聖路加福音 13:10-17
安息日，耶穌在一會堂裏施教。有一女人，病魔纏身已十八年了，傴僂著，完全不能直立。耶穌見了她，便叫她過來，對她說：「女人，你的病已消除了。」遂給她按手，她即刻就挺直起來，光榮天主。會堂長因氣惱耶穌在安息日治病，便對眾人說：「有六天應當工作，你們在這些日子裏可來治病，但不可在安息日這一天。」主回答他說：「假善人哪！你們每一個人在安息日，有不解下槽上的牛驢，牽去飲水的嗎？這個女人原是亞巴郎的女兒，她被撒殫纏住已經有十八年了，在安息日這一天，就不該解開她的束縛嗎？」當耶穌講這話時，所有敵對他的人，個個慚愧；所有民眾因他所行的種種輝煌事蹟，莫不歡喜。

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 13:10-17
Jesus was teaching in a synagogue on the sabbath. And a woman was there who for eighteen years had been crippled by a spirit; she was bent over, completely incapable of standing erect. When Jesus saw her, he called to her and said, “Woman, you are set free of your infirmity.” He laid his hands on her, and she at once stood up straight and glorified God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant that Jesus had cured on the sabbath, said to the crowd in reply, “There are six days when work should be done. Come on those days to be cured, not on the sabbath day.” The Lord said to him in reply, “Hypocrites! Does not each one of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his ass from the manger and lead it out for watering? This daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound for eighteen years now, ought she not to have been set free on the sabbath day from this bondage?” When he said this, all his adversaries were humiliated; and the whole crowd rejoiced at all the splendid deeds done by him.

那時候，耶穌舉目向天說：「聖父啊！求你因你的名，保全那些你所賜給我的人，使他們合而為一，正如我們一樣。
「求你以真理祝聖他們；你的話就是真理。
就如你派遣我到世界上來，照樣，我也派遣他們到世界上去。我為他們祝聖我自己，為叫他們也因真理而被祝聖。
「我不但為他們祈求，而且也為那些因他們的話，而信從我的人祈求，好使他們都合而為一。父啊！就如你在我內，我在你內，使他們也在我們內合而為一，就如你在我內，我在你內，為叫世界相信，是你派遣了我。
「我將你賜給我的光榮，賜給了他們，為叫他們合而為一，就如我們原為一體一樣。我在他們內，你在我內，使他們完全合而為一，為叫世界知道：是你派遣了我，並且你愛了他們，如同愛了我一樣。」

I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me. 恭讀聖路加福音 13:1-9
正在那時，來了幾個人把有關加里肋亞人的事，即比拉多把他們的血，與他們的祭品攙和在一起的事，報告給耶穌。他回答說：「你們以為這些加里肋亞人，比其他所有的加里肋亞人更有罪，才遭此禍害嗎？不是的。我告訴你們：如果你們不悔改，你們都要同樣喪亡。或如史羅亞塔倒下，而壓死的那十八個人，你們以為他們比耶路撒冷的其他居民罪債更大嗎？不是的。我告訴你們：如果你們不悔改，你們都要同樣喪亡。」
耶穌又講了這個比喻說：「有一個人曾將一棵無花果樹，栽在自己的葡萄園內。他來在樹上找果子，但沒有找到，便對園丁說：「你看，我三年來在這棵無花果樹上找果子，但沒有找到，你砍掉它吧！為什麼讓它白佔土地呢？」園丁回答他說：「主人！再留它一年吧！待我在它周圍掘鬆泥土，加上肥料；將來若結果子便算了；不然的話，你就把它砍掉吧！」

Some people told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with the blood of their sacrifices. He said to them in reply, “Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were greater sinners than all other Galileans? By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did! Or those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them— do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem? By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!”
And he told them this parable: “There once was a person who had a fig tree planted in his orchard, and when he came in search of fruit on it but found none, he said to the gardener, ‘For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none. So cut it down. Why should it exhaust the soil?’ He said to him in reply, ‘Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future. If not you can cut it down.’”

Jesus said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain–and so it does; and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot–and so it is. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time?
“Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right? If you are to go with your opponent before a magistrate, make an effort to settle the matter on the way; otherwise your opponent will turn you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the constable, and the constable throw you into prison. I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.”

那時候，耶穌對門徒說：「你們應該明白這一點：如果家主知道盜賊何時要來，【他必要醒寤，】決不容許自己的房屋被挖穿。你們也應當準備，因為在你們料想不到的時辰，人子就來了。」
伯多祿說：「主！你講的這個比喻，是為我們呢？還是為眾人？」主說：「究竟誰是那忠信及精明的管家？主人派他管理自己的家僕，按時配給食糧。主人來時，看見他如此行事，那僕人才是有福的。我實在告訴你們：主人必要委派他，管理自己的一切財產。如果那個僕人心裏說：我的主人必然遲來；他便開始拷打僕婢，也吃也喝也醉酒。在他想不到的日子，不知覺的時刻，那僕人的主人就會來到，必要剷除他，使他與不信者遭受同樣的命運。那知道主人的旨意，而偏不準備，或竟不奉行他旨意的僕人，必然要多受拷打；那不知道而做了應受拷打之事的，要少受拷打。給誰的多，向誰要的也多；交託誰的多，向誰索取的也格外多。」

Jesus said to his disciples: “Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour when the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.”
Then Peter said, “Lord, is this parable meant for us or for everyone?” And the Lord replied, “Who, then, is the faithful and prudent steward whom the master will put in charge of his servants to distribute the food allowance at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master on arrival finds doing so. Truly, I say to you, he will put him in charge of all his property. But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, to eat and drink and get drunk, then that servant’s master will come on an unexpected day and at an unknown hour and will punish the servant severely and assign him a place with the unfaithful. That servant who knew his master’s will but did not make preparations nor act in accord with his will shall be beaten severely; and the servant who was ignorant of his master’s will but acted in a way deserving of a severe beating shall be beaten only lightly. Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.”

耶穌對他們說：「莊稼多而工人少，所以你們應當求莊稼的主人，派遣工人來，收割他的莊稼。你們去吧！看，我派遣你們猶如羔羊往狼群中。你們不要帶錢囊，不要帶口袋，也不要帶鞋；路上也不要向人請安。不論進了那一家，先說：願這一家平安！那裏如有和平之子，你們的和平就要停留在他身上；否則，仍歸於你們。你們要住在那一家，吃喝他們所供給的，因為工人自當有他的工資；你們不可從這一家遷移到另一家。不論進了那座城，人若接納你們，給你們擺上什麼，你們就吃什麼。要醫治城中的病人，並向他們說：天主的國已經臨近你們了。」

He said to them, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest. Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves. Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no one along the way. Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.’ If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves payment. Do not move about from one house to another. Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you, cure the sick in it and say to them, ‘The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.’”
