恭讀聖若望福音　19:31-37

猶太人因那日子是預備日，免得安息日內──那安息日原是個大節日──屍首留在十字架上，就來請求比拉多打斷耶穌和與他同釘的兩個人的腿，把他們拿去。兵士遂前來，把第一個人的，並與耶穌同釘在十字架上的第二個人的腿打斷了。可是，及至來到耶穌跟前，看見他已經死了，就沒有打斷他的腿；但是，有一個兵士用槍刺透了他的肋膀，立時流出了血和水。那看見這事的人就作證，而他的見證是真實的；並且「那位」知道他所說的是真實的，為叫你們也相信。這些事發生，正應驗了經上的話說：『不可將他的骨頭打斷。』經上另有一句說：『他們要瞻望他們所刺透的。』

31 Since it was the day of Preparation, in order to prevent the bodies from remaining on the cross on the sabbath (for that sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who had been crucified with him; 33 but when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. 35 He who saw it has borne witness — his testimony is true, and he knows that he tells the truth — that you also may believe. 36 For these things took place that the scripture might be fulfilled, “Not a bone of him shall be broken.” 37 And again another scripture says, “They shall look on him whom they have pierced.”

聖巴爾納伯 (宗徒) (紀念)

恭讀聖瑪竇福音　10:7-13

那時候，耶穌對他的門徒說：「你們在路上應宣講說：天國臨近了。病人，你們要治好；死人，你們要復活；癩病人，你們要潔淨；魔鬼，你們要驅逐；你們白白得來的，也要白白分施。你們不要在腰包裏帶金、銀、銅錢；路上不要帶口袋，也不要帶兩件內衣，也不要穿鞋，也不要帶棍杖，因為工人自當有他的食物。你們不論進了那一城或那一村，查問其中誰是當得起的，就住在那裏，直到你們離去。你們進那一家時，要向它請安。倘若這一家是堪當的，你們的平安就必降臨到這一家；倘若是不堪當的，你們的平安仍歸於你們。」

You received without paying, give without pay. 9 Take no gold, nor silver, nor copper in your belts, 10 no bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor a staff; for the laborer deserves his food. 11 And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it, and stay with him until you depart. 12 As you enter the house, salute it. 13 And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

恭讀聖瑪竇福音　5:17-19

那時候，耶穌向他的門徒說：「你們不要以為我來是廢除法律或先知；我來不是為廢除，而是為成全。我實在告訴你們：即使天地過去了，一撇或一畫也決不會從法律上過去，必待一切完成。所以，誰若廢除這些誡命中最小的一條，也這樣教訓人，在天國裏，他將稱為最小的；但誰若實行，也這樣教訓人，這人在天國裏將稱為大的。」

恭讀聖瑪寶福音　5:13-16

那時候，耶穌向他的門徒說：「你們是地上的鹽，鹽若失了味，可用甚麼使它再鹹呢？它再毫無用途，只好拋在外邊，任人踐踏罷了。你們是世界的光；建在山上的城是不能隱藏的。人點燈，並不是放在斗底下，而是放在燈台上，照耀屋中所有的人。照樣，你們的光也當在人前照耀，好使他們看見你們的善行，光榮你們在天之父。」

恭讀聖瑪竇福音　5:1-12

那時候，耶穌一見群眾，就上了山，坐下；他的門徒上他跟前來，他遂開口教訓他們說：「神貧的人是有福的，因為天國是他們的。哀慟的人是有福的，因為他們要受安慰。溫良的人是有福的，因為他們要承受土地。飢渴慕義的人是有福的，因為他們要得飽飫。憐憫人的人是有福的，因為他們要受憐憫。心裏潔淨的人是有福的，因為他們要看見天主。締造和平的人是有福的，因為他們要稱為天主的子女。為義而受迫害的人是有福的，因為天國是他們的。幾時人為了我而辱罵迫害你們，捏造一切壞話毀謗你們，你們是有福的。你們歡喜踴躍吧！因為你們在天上的賞報是豐厚的，因為在你們以前的先知，人也曾這樣迫害過他們。」

1 Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down his disciples came to him. 2 And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 5 “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. 6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. 7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. 8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you.
