恭讀聖路加福音 10:17-24
那七十二人歡喜地歸來，說：「主，因著你的名號，連惡魔都屈服於我們。」耶穌向他們說：「我看見撒殫如同閃電一般自天跌下。看我已經授於你們權柄，使你們踐踏在蛇蠍上，並能制伏仇敵的一切勢力，沒有什麼能傷害你們。但是，你們不要因為魔鬼屈服於你們的這件事而喜歡，你們應當喜歡的，乃是因為你們的名字，已經登記在天上了。」就在那時刻，耶穌因聖神而歡欣說：「父啊! 天地的主宰，我稱謝你，因為你將這些事瞞住了智慧和明達的人，而啟示了給小孩子。是的，父啊! 你原來喜歡這樣做。我父將一切都交給我，除了父，沒有一個認識子是誰，除了子及子所願啟示的人外，也沒有一個認識父是誰的。耶穌轉過身來私下對門徒說：「見你們所見之事的眼睛是有福的。我告訴你們：曾經有許多先知及君王希望看你們所見的，而沒有看見；聽你們所聽的，而沒有聽到。

17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” 18 And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” 21 In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes; yea, Father, for such was thy gracious will. 22 All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” 23 Then turning to the disciples he said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see what you see! 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”

耶穌說：「苛辣匝因啊！你是有禍的了！貝特賽達啊！你是有禍的了！因為在你們那裏所行的異能，如果行在提洛和漆冬，他們早已披上苦衣，坐在灰塵中，而改過自新了。但是在審判時，提洛和漆冬所受的懲罰，要比你們容易忍受。還有你，葛法翁啊！莫非你要被高舉到天上嗎？將來你必被推下陰府。聽你們的，就是聽我；拒絕你們的，就是拒絕我；拒絕我的，就是拒絕那派遣我的。」

那時候，耶穌看見納塔乃耳向自己走來，就指著他說：「看，這確是一個以色列人，在他內毫無詭詐。」納塔乃耳對他說：「你從那裏認識我呢？」耶穌回答說：「斐理伯叫你以前，當你遠在無花果樹下時，我就看見了你。」納塔乃耳再回答說：「辣彼！你是天主子，你是以色列的君王。」耶穌遂說道：「因為我向你說：我看見了你在無花果樹下，你就信了嗎？你要看見比這更大的事！」又向他說：「我實實在在告訴你們：你們要看見天開了，天主的天使在人子身上，上去下來。」

那時，門徒間開始爭辯誰是他們中最大的。耶穌看透了他們的心思，就領來一個子孩子，叫他立在自己身邊，對他們說：「誰若為了我的名字收留這個小孩子，就是收留我；誰若收留我，就是收留那派遣我來的；因為在你們眾人中最小的，這人才是最大的。」若望說：「老師！我們曾看見一個人，因你的名字驅魔，就禁止了他，因為他不與我們同夥。」耶穌卻向他說：「不要禁止！因為誰不反對你們，就是傾向你們。」

恭讀聖路加福音 16:19-31
那時候，耶穌對法利塞人說：
「有一個富翁，身穿紫紅袍及細麻衣，天天奢華宴樂。另有一個乞丐，名叫拉匝祿，滿身瘡痍，躺臥在富翁的大門前。拉匝祿指望得到從富翁桌上掉下的碎屑充飢，但只有狗來舔他的瘡痍。那乞丐死了，天使把他送到亞巴郎的懷抱裡。那個富翁也死了，被人埋葬了。
「那富翁在陰間，痛苦地舉目一望，遠遠看見亞巴郎，及在他懷中的拉匝祿，便喊叫說：父親亞巴郎！可憐我吧！請打發拉匝祿，用他的指尖，蘸點水，來涼潤我的舌頭，因為我在這火燄中，非常痛苦。
「亞巴郎說：孩子，你應記得，你活著的時候，已享盡了你的福，而拉匝祿同樣也受盡了苦。現在，他在這裡受安慰，而你應受苦了。除此之外，在我們與你們之間，隔著一個巨大的深淵，就算有人願意，從這邊去到你們那邊，也不可能，從那邊來到我們這邊，也不可能。
「那富翁說：父親！那麼，就請你打發拉匝祿到我家去，因為我有五個兄弟，叫拉匝祿警告他們，免得他們也來到這痛苦的地方。
「亞巴郎說：他們自有梅瑟及先知，讓他們聽從好了。
「那富翁說：不，父親亞巴郎！倘若有人從死者中，到他們那裡，他們必會悔改。
「亞巴郎給他說：如果他們不聽從梅瑟及先知，縱使有人從死者中復活，他們也不會信服。」

19 “There was a rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, full of sores, 21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table; moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried; 23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes, and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he called out, `Father Abraham, have mercy upon me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, `Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’ 27 And he said, `Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’ 29 But Abraham said, `They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, `No, father Abraham; but if some one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 He said to him, `If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced if some one should rise from the dead.'”
