恭讀聖路加福音　12:22-32

那時候，耶穌對他的門徒說：「我告訴你們：不要為生命思慮吃什麼，也不要為身體思慮穿什麼，因為生命貴於食物，身體貴於衣服。
「你們看看烏鴉，牠們不播種，也不收割；牠們沒有庫房，也沒有倉廩，天主尚且養活牠們，你們比起飛鳥更要尊貴多少呢？你們中誰能運用思慮，使自己的壽數延長一刻呢？如果你們連極小的事，也做不來，為什麼要思慮別的事呢？
「你們看看百合花，是怎樣生長的：它們不勞作，也不紡織；可是，我告訴你們：連撒羅滿在他極榮華的時候，所披戴的，也不如這些花中的一朵。田野間的野草，今天還在，明天就投入爐中，天主尚且這樣裝飾，何況你們呢！
「小信德的人啊！你們不要謀求吃什麼，喝什麼，也不要憂愁掛心，因為，這一切都是世上外邦人所尋求的；至於你們，你們的父知道你們需要這些。你們只要尋求他的國，這些自會加給你們。
「你們小小的羊群，不要害怕！因為你們的父喜歡把天國賜給你們。」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 12:22-32

He said to [his] disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life and what you will eat, or about your body and what you will wear. For life is more than food and the body more than clothing. Notice the ravens: they do not sow or reap; they have neither storehouse nor barn, yet God feeds them. How much more important are you than birds! Can any of you by worrying add a moment to your life-span? If even the smallest things are beyond your control, why are you anxious about the rest? Notice how the flowers grow. They do not toil or spin. But I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass in the field that grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? As for you, do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not worry anymore. All the nations of the world seek for these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, seek his kingdom, and these other things will be given you besides. Do not be afraid any longer, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

恭讀聖若望福音　15:9-17

那時候，耶穌對門徒說：「正如父愛了我，同樣我也愛了你們；你們應存在我的愛內。如果你們遵守我的命令，便存在我的愛內，正如我遵守了我父的命令而存在他的愛內一樣。我對你們講論了這些事，為使我的喜樂存在你們內，使你們的喜樂圓滿無缺。這是我的命令：你們該彼此相愛，如同我愛了你們一樣。人若為自己的朋友捨掉性命，再沒有比這更大的愛情了。你們如果實行我所命令你們的，你們就是我的朋友。我不再稱你們為僕人，因為僕人不知道他主人所做的事。我稱你們為朋友，因為凡由我父聽來的一切，我都顯示給你們了。不是你們揀選了我，而是我揀選了你們，並派你們去結果實，去結常存的果實；如此，你們因我的名無論向父求什麼，他必賜給你們。這就是我命令你們的：你們應該彼此相愛。」

Jesus said to his disciples, “As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this,j to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father. It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. This I command you: love one another.”
