恭讀聖馬爾谷福音　8:27-35
那時候，耶穌和他的門徒起身，前往斐理伯的凱撒勒雅附近的村莊。在路上，耶穌問自己的門徒說：「人們說我是誰？」
他們回答說：「是洗者若翰；也有些人說，是厄里亞；還有些人說，是先知中的一位。」
耶穌又問他們說：「你們說我是誰呢？」
伯多祿回答說：「你是默西亞。」耶穌就嚴禁他們，不要向任何人談及他。
耶穌於是開始教訓門徒：人子必須受許多苦，被長老、司祭長和經師棄絕，且要被殺害；但三天以後，必要復活。
耶穌坦白地說了這番話。伯多祿便拉耶穌到一邊，開始諫責他。耶穌卻轉過身來，注視著自己的門徒，責斥伯多祿說：「撒旦，退到我後面去！因為你所體會的，不是天主的事，而是人的事。」
耶穌於是召集群眾和門徒，對他們說：「誰若願意跟隨我，該棄絕自己，背起自己的十字架，跟隨我，因為，誰若願意救自己的性命，必會喪失性命；但誰若為我和福音的原故，喪失自己的性命，必會救得性命。」

27 And Jesus went on with his disciples, to the villages of Caesare’a Philip’pi; and on the way he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I am?” 28 And they told him, “John the Baptist; and others say, Eli’jah; and others one of the prophets.” 29 And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, “You are the Christ.” 30 And he charged them to tell no one about him. 31 And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32 And he said this plainly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. 33 But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter, and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you are not on the side of God, but of men.” 34 And he called to him the multitude with his disciples, and said to them, “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever would save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.

恭讀聖若望福音 19:25-27

那時候，在耶穌的十字架旁，站著他的母親和他母親的姊妹，還有克羅帕的妻子瑪利亞和瑪利亞瑪達肋納。耶穌看見母親，又看見他所愛的門徒站在旁邊，就對母親說：「女人，看，你的兒子！」然後，又對那門徒說：「看，你的母親！」就從那時起，那門徒把她接到自己家裏。

恭讀聖若望福音　3:13-17

那時候，耶穌對尼苛德摩說：「沒有人上過天，除了那自天降下，而仍在天上的人子。正如梅瑟曾在曠野，高舉了蛇，人子也應照樣，被舉起來，使凡信的人，在祂內得到永生。」天主竟然這樣愛了世界，甚至賜下自己的獨生子，使凡信祂的人，不至喪亡，反而獲得永生，因為天主沒有派遣子到世界上，來審判世界，而是為叫世界，藉祂而獲救。

13 (Jesus answered) “No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from heaven, the Son of man. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.” 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.
