「今天，我懇請你們來愛上聖體聖事。小孩子們，你們在自己的堂區內朝拜祂，便跟整個世界合而為一，耶穌亦會成為你們的朋友，你們談論祂時，也不會像談一個不 大認識的人似的。與耶穌結合將會成為你們的喜樂，而你們亦會成為耶穌愛情的見證，祂對於每一個受造物都懷有這份愛。小孩子們，你朝拜耶穌之時，也跟我很親 近。」

恭讀聖路加福音　1:26-38

那時候，天使加俾額爾奉天主差遣，往加里肋亞一座名叫納匝肋的城去，到一位童貞女那裡；她已與達味家族中，一個名叫若瑟的男子訂了婚；童貞女的名字叫瑪利亞。
天使進去向瑪利亞說：「萬福！充滿恩寵者，上主與你同在！」 【在女人中你是蒙祝福的。】瑪利亞卻因這話驚惶不安，便思慮這樣的請安，有什麼意思。
天使對她說：「瑪利亞，不要害怕，因為你在天主前，獲得了寵幸。看，你將懷孕生子，並要給他起名叫耶穌。他將是偉大的，並被稱為至高者的兒子；上主天主要把他祖先達味的御座賜給他。他要為王，統治雅各伯家，直到永遠；他的王權沒有終結。」
瑪利亞便向天使說：「這事怎能成就？因為我不認識男人。」
天使答覆她說：「聖神要臨於你，至高者的能力要庇蔭你，因此，那要誕生的聖者，將稱為天主的兒子。且看，你的親戚依撒伯爾，她雖在老年，仍懷了男胎，本月已六個月了；她原是素稱不生育的。因為，在天主前，是沒有不能的事。」
瑪利亞說：「看！上主的婢女，願照你的話，成就於我吧！」天使便離開她去了。

26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said, “Hail, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” 29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. 30 And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” 34 And Mary said to the angel, “How shall this be, since I have no husband?” 35 And the angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. 36 And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

『祥』話短說 (2011年12月16日)

司鐸職務與工作
人的成長過程有進也有退。我指的成長不是生理方面，而是倫理方面。我今年晉鐸剛好踏入第四十個年頭。第一個十年，工作上我是全情投入的。第二個十年，年紀剛過四十，曾在芝加哥進修牧民神學一年，本應回修院任代理院長，後來被委任為一堂區的主任司鐸。開始時以行政手法去處理堂區事務 ， 着重人際關係而忽視祈禱 ，這是我牧職生涯中最遺憾的十年。
第三十個年頭是天主給我恩慈之年，因為主教派遣我到多倫多服務當地的華人。環境比較清靜，也認識了一位有五傷的女士，從此改變了我牧職的態度，也改善了祈禱生活。
第四十個年頭則服務聖母領報堂。堂的設計，不單華麗，它的聖體堂更是讓人專注祈禱之場所。我感謝主教派遣我來這堂區服務。由於我沒有擔當校監的職務，生活能踏入平實的節奏。祈禱生活也積極起來。
堂區牧職，應該是重質而不重量。無論牧職同工或牧民議會的成員，能產生福傳效果的，主要是來自互愛。互愛的最大的考驗，是同工間不同性格的磨合。
我和副本堂，性格剛剛相反，再加上文化的差異，要愉快合作，不是易事，但我們克服了如上的這些困難。因為對方謙遜服從，而我也善意待人。就是這樣，我們成了上主牧民的工具。
總的來說，為神職人員，我們真正的職務不是工作，而是祭獻。我們的生活方式，不單是以人為本，而是以天為本，即以天主聖意為大前題。
不少教牧同工，由於工作繁重，結果病倒，實是可惜。假若能與人分享，可避免心力疲乏之苦。若真的病倒，不妨與三五知己，互訴心聲。但，這是神職人員最弱的一環，因為在修院訓練過程，嚴禁私交私好(大家可以理解其因由)。結果，便容易陷入孤立無援之境。
今天，牧職再不是個人的工作，而是群策群力的見證。

那時，耶穌對猶太人說：「你們曾派人到若翰那裏去，他為真理作了見證。我並不需要人的作證，但我說這些話，為使你們得救。若翰是點著的照明之燈，你們曾願在他的光明中，歡樂一時。我有比若翰更大的作證，就是我的父叫我完成的事業；就是我所作的這些事業，證明我是父派遣來的。」
