亞巴郎之子，達味之子耶穌基督的族譜：亞巴郎生依撒格，依撒格生雅各伯，雅各伯生猶大和他的弟兄們；猶大由塔瑪爾生培勒茲和則辣黑，培勒茲生赫茲龍，赫茲龍生阿蘭，阿蘭生阿米納達布，阿米納達布生納赫雄，納赫雄生撒耳孟，撒耳孟由辣哈布生波阿次，波阿次由盧德生敖貝得，敖貝得生葉瑟，葉瑟生達味王。達味由烏黎雅的妻子生撒羅滿，撒羅滿生勒哈貝罕，勒哈貝罕生阿彼雅，阿彼雅生阿撒，阿撒生約沙法特，約沙法特生約蘭，約蘭生烏齊雅，烏齊雅生約堂，約堂生阿哈次，阿哈次生希則克雅，希則克雅生默納舍，默納舍生阿孟，阿孟生約史雅，約史雅在巴比倫流徙期間生耶苛尼雅和他的弟兄們，流徙巴比倫以後，耶苛尼雅生沙耳提耳，沙耳提耳生則魯巴貝耳，則魯巴貝耳生阿彼烏得，阿彼烏得生厄里雅金，厄利雅金生阿左爾，阿左爾生匝多克，匝多克生阿歆，阿歆生厄里烏得，厄里烏得生厄肋阿匝爾，厄肋阿匝爾生瑪堂，瑪堂生雅各伯，雅各伯生若瑟，瑪利亞的丈夫；瑪利亞生耶穌，他稱為基督。所以從亞巴郎到達味共十四代，從達味到流徒巴比倫共十四代，從流徒巴比倫到基督共十四代。

恭讀聖路加福音　7:24-30
若翰派來的人走後，耶穌就向眾人論若翰說：「你們到曠野裏去，是為看什麼？是隨風搖動的一支蘆葦嗎？你們出去，究竟看到什麼？是一個穿著細軟的人嗎？看！那衣著華麗、生活奢侈的人是在王宮裏的。但你們出去究竟看見什麼？一個先知嗎？我對你們說，正是的，而且還勝過先知！這就是經上指著的那位：『看！我派遣我的使者在你面前，為你預備道路。』我告訴你們，婦女所生的，沒有一個比若翰更大的；但是，天主國中最小的一個比他還大。」民眾和稅吏聽了若翰的話，都承認天主的聖善公義，受了若翰的洗禮。但法利塞人和經師們自己，不受苦翰的洗禮，天主對他們的計畫落空。

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 7:24-30

24 When the messengers of John had gone, he began to speak to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to behold? A reed shaken by the wind? 25 What then did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, those who are gorgeously appareled and live in luxury are in kings’ courts. 26 What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. 27 This is he of whom it is written, `Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.’ 28 I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John; yet he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” 29 (When they heard this all the people and the tax collectors justified God, having been baptized with the baptism of John; 30 but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.)

若翰就叫了他的兩個門徒，派遣他們到主那裏去說：「你是不是將要來的那位？還是我們要等候另一位？」那兩個人到了他那裏，就說：「授洗者若翰派遣我們來問你，你是不是將要來的那位？還是我們要等候另一位？」正在那時，耶穌治好了許多害病的、受災害的、附惡魔的，又賜許多瞎子看見。他就回答他們說：「去把你們所見所聞的，回報若翰：瞎子看見了，跛子行走了，癩病人潔淨了，聾子聽見了，死人復活了，窮人接到了喜訊。凡不因我而跌倒的人，是有福的。」

18 The disciples of John told him of all these things.19 And John, calling to him two of his disciples, sent them to the Lord, saying, “Are you he who is to come, or shall we look for another?” 20 And when the men had come to him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, `Are you he who is to come, or shall we look for another?'” 21 In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits, and on many that were blind he bestowed sight. 22 And he answered them, “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them. 23 And blessed is he who takes no offense at me.”

「你們以為怎樣？一個人有兩個兒子，他走到第一個兒子跟前，說：『孩子，你今天到葡萄園中去工作吧！』他回答說：『我不願意。』但後來懊悔了，去了。這人又走到第二個跟前，說了同樣的話。他回答說：『主，一定去！』但他未去。兩人中，哪一個遵行了父親的旨意呢？」他們說：「前一個。」耶穌說：「我切實告訴你們，稅吏和娼妓都要比你們先進天國。因為若翰遵循正義的道路，來到你們中間，你們不信他；稅吏和娼妓倒相信他；你們見了後，仍不悔悟去相信他。」

耶穌進入聖殿，正在教訓人時，司祭長和民間的長老前來對他說：「你憑什麼權柄做這些事？誰給了你這樣的權柄？」耶穌回答他們說：「我也向你們提一個問題，如果你們答覆我，我就告訴你們我憑什麼權柄做這些事。」若翰的洗禮是從哪里來的？從天上？還是從人來的？」他們心中思量說：「如果我們說：『從天上來的』，他會說：『那麼你們為何不相信他呢？』但如果我們說：『從人來的』，我們又害怕群眾，因為眾人都認若翰是一位先知。」於是他們回答耶穌說：「我們不知道。」耶穌說：「我也不告訴你們，我憑什麼權柄做這些事。」

From heaven or from men?” And they argued with one another, “If we say, `From heaven,’ he will say to us, `Why then did you not believe him?’ 26 But if we say, `From men,’ we are afraid of the multitude; for all hold that John was a prophet.” 27 So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.” And he said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.
