恭讀聖路加福音 12:35-38

那時候，耶穌對他的門徒說：「你們要把腰束起，把燈點著，如同等候自己的主人由婚筵回來，為的是主人來到，一敲門，立刻就給他開門。主人來到時，遇見醒寤著的那些僕人，是有福的！我實在告訴你們：主人要束上腰，請他們坐席，親自前來伺候他們。他二更來也罷，三更來也罷，若遇見這樣，那些僕人才是有福的！」

35 “Let your loins be girded and your lamps burning, 36 and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the marriage feast, so that they may open to him at once when he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes; truly, I say to you, he will gird himself and have them sit at table, and he will come and serve them. 38 If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those servants!

恭讀聖路加福音 12:13-21

那時候，人群中有一個人向耶穌說：「師傅，請吩咐我的兄弟與我分家吧！」耶穌對他說：「人哪！誰立了我做你們的判官，為你們分家呢？」遂對他們說：「你們要謹慎，躲避一切貪婪，因為一個人縱然富裕，他的生命並不在於他的資產。」
耶穌對他們設了一個比喻說：「有一個富翁，他的田地出產豐富。他心裏想道：我可怎麼辦呢？因為我已沒有地方收藏我的物產。他遂說：我要這樣做：我要拆毀我的倉房，另建更大的，好在那裏收藏我的一切穀類及財物。以後，我要對我的靈魂說：靈魂哪！你存有大量的財物，足夠多年之用，你休息吧！吃喝宴樂吧！天主卻對他說：糊塗人哪！今夜就要索回你的靈魂，你所儲備的，將歸誰呢？那為自己厚積財產而不在天主面前致富的，也是如此。」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 12:13-21

13 One of the multitude said to him, “Teacher, bid my brother divide the inheritance with me.” 14 But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or divider over you?” 15 And he said to them, “Take heed, and beware of all covetousness; for a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” 16 And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man brought forth plentifully; 17 and he thought to himself, `What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ 18 And he said, `I will do this: I will pull down my barns, and build larger ones; and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.’ 20 But God said to him, `Fool! This night your soul is required of you; and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ 21 So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

恭讀聖馬爾谷福音　16:15-20

耶穌對他們說：「你們往普天下去，向一切受造物宣傳福音
信而受洗的必要得救；但不信的必被判罪。
信的人必有這些奇蹟隨著他們：因我的名驅遂魔鬼，說新語言，
手拿毒蛇，甚或喝了什麼致死的毒物，也決不受害；按手在病人身上，可使人痊愈。」
主耶穌給他們說了這些話以後，就被接升天，坐在天主的右邊。
他們出去，到處宣講，主與他們合作，並以奇蹟相隨，證實所傳的道理。

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark 16:15-20

He said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. 18They will pick up serpents [with their hands], and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The Ascension of Jesus. 19So then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them, was taken up into heaven and took his seat at the right hand of God.k 20But they went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through accompanying signs.
